Level 3 Award in English for Literacy/Language Teaching
The course has been designed to meet the criteria for the Level 3 Award in English for Literacy/Language Teaching. Although the focus is on personal skill development, whenever possible and / or relevant, reference will be made to teaching approaches – in particular the teaching of functional English and GCSE.
For example, can you:
- Understand and different linguistic devices?
- Explain how reading and writing are social, multi-modal practices?
- Notice aspects of language in use?
- Understand the relevance of schematic knowledge when reading and listening?
